Job Description
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for initial short-term contract (extendable) to assist with deploying an on-premise software solution. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in system architecture, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to engineer and implement scalable software solutions.
- Setup, configure, and manage environments for development, testing, and production stages.
- Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the deployment environment.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices throughout the deployment process.
- Document development processes, configuration management, and version control.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in software development and system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.
- Experience with automation software (e.g., Jenkins, Puppet, Chef) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
- Excellent problem-solving, team collaboration, and communication skills.
